About

Six years ago, I founded Interior Therapy after fulfilling a life-long ambition of renovating my own house. It paid off – my bathroom became one of the most-liked images on Houzz and I’ve never looked back. Since then, my work has been featured in lots of national magazines and books and more recently, I’ve been awarded a “Best of Houzz Design” award for the fifth year running, and “Best of Houzz Service” award.

So, what about me?

My first job was as a trained window dresser, working with placement and layout to create and style a visually inviting space. I loved the creativity of transforming a space, and it’s a skill I often tap into when doing interior styling work for industry magazines or my clients.

But it was my time spent as a trend researcher at Lacoste that had the biggest influence in my move to interior design. I travelled extensively with my job, researching trends in fashion, textiles and colours, briefing designers to reach the final design for our premium collection. The insight I gained from working with such a spectrum of colour and materials is something that translates into much of my interiors work today.

What’s my style?

I have a family-focussed approach to interiors and like to create beautiful, liveable spaces that you can enjoy, blending my designs into any existing space. Through the subtle introduction of colours, my spaces have a classic feel with a contemporary edge giving the design longevity. I find effective ways of putting a personalised stamp on each room using artwork, fabrics, or furniture – anything that resonates with a client and evokes feelings of ‘this is me’.

My philosophy

My view is that interior design is for everybody. Whether you need advice on furniture layout or re-designing a whole house, it shouldn’t be something unobtainable. So I’ve made sure my interior design services are accessible because I know that even small changes can make a big difference to your home.

No matter what the brief, I’ll work closely with you so you’re part of the process. I’ll take away any stress from daunting decision making, and whittle down your interiors choices to just a few. And when it comes to colour advice, I can give you the confidence to use colour in your home that you otherwise wouldn’t feel brave enough to use.

Whatever space in your home needs attention, give me a call to find out how I can help you love your home that little bit more.
